Shakespeare Performance Competition

Eoin (4)

This week we had the honour of some of our boys competing in the English Speaking Union's Performing Shakespeare Competition.

'The English-Speaking Union’s Performing Shakespeare Competition encourages Key Stage 3 and home-schooled pupils in England and Wales to discover and share his love of language, inviting them to perform a monologue or duologue from any of Shakespeare’s plays, in whichever way they choose.

Crucially, students must also introduce their performance, thereby enhancing their public speaking and engagement skills.'

Congratulations to Eoin Charmantier Year 9 and Louis Drake Year 8 for going through to the regional Round 2 competition. After that it is Nationals and then the Finals at The Globe if they get through!

Wishing both of you the best of luck!
